Different Lawn Mower Types: Is the Riding Lawn Mower the Ideal Solution
There are so many different choices that things in life present us. We have to choose colors, sizes, models, etc. If you are looking for a new lawnmower, it isn’t any different than anything else: options, options, and more options. It is wise to educate yourself on the different types of lawnmowers that are available for you to choose from, and that is what this article is for. I think that the best might be riding lawn mower.
The first type of lawnmower that we will discuss is the standard push mower. Of course, you should already know about this one, but there are many options for the standard push mower these days. You have different sizes, but you also have the options of mulching and bagging. Mulching will take your grass clipping and cut them even smaller so that they can be naturally broken down and the nutrients are returned to your lawn. Bagging collects all of your clippings in a bag that you can detach and empty as it gets full. This is especially helpful if you have a compost pile.
Although not nearly as common as it once was, the reel lawnmower is the next type we will discuss. If you have memories of your grandparents cutting your yard, they are probably using the reel lawn mower. It is completely powered by gears that are aligned with the wheels. As you push the lawnmower, the reel blades turn which cuts the grass that is already raised by the grass bar. These types of lawnmower are usually recommended when you have really small areas to mow.
The next type of lawn mower is the riding lawn mower. It is probably one of the most popular types of lawnmowers. It is designed to help cut your time and effort down so that you can actually start enjoying your beautiful yard. The standard riding mower is gasoline powered, and has a motor that is located in the front of the mower. Other riding mowers, such as the ones that are rear wheel drive, have motors that are located under the seat or in the back.
If you are more technologically minded, then you might want to invest in a robotic lawnmower. Yes, you read that right. There are now mowers that will mow your yard for you, without you even having to go outside! They are designed to run along a specifically designated area, which means there’s a little bit of time needed for setup initially. After that, your robot lawnmower will follow the boundary that you have established, mowing your grass for you.
